U.S. Highway 191 Emergency Repair Project

On Thursday, August 19th, U.S. Hwy. 191 was re-opened to the traveling public since closing due to a fuel spill that occurred on May 22nd. The initial cleanup on the fuel spill left a 70-foot void in the roadway.
FNF was given Notice to Proceed on July 23rd and 60 days to reconstruct the roadway as an Emergency Procurement Contract. FNF fast-tracked the project, working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to complete the project in only 29 days.
All involved parties were very happy with the highly successful outcome of the project. In fact, Owen Martin of the U.S. Forest Service stated, “I guess we can thank our lucky stars they [FNF] won the bid...They’re incredibly efficient - incredibly efficient. When they got it [the project], they got after it. I’m impressed”.
