Pecos Germann

FNF completed the Germann and Pecos Road Bridges at the Roosevelt Water Conservation District (RWCD) project for the Town of Gilbert .  This was FNF's first Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) project.

This project is located at the intersections of Germann Road and the East Maricopa Floodway (EMF) and Pecos Road and the EMF. The work consists of constructing a bridge at each location spanning the EMF. Additionally, precast box culverts were called for to span the RWCD canal that runs parallel to the EMF.

Additional work consisted of the milling of the existing asphalt surface and replacing with rubberized asphalt concrete, installing new storm drain, water line, 66" sewer line, reclaimed water lines, concrete curb and gutter, and other roadway improvements.

Because this was a CM@R project, it gave FNF the ability to offer a Value Engineering porposal to the Town of Gilbert to re-design the bridges over the EMF.  FNF's proposal to construct Pre-cast Concrete Girder Bridges as opposed to Cast-in-Place Box Girder Bridges not only saved the owner money, but it also reduced the risks of building a bridge over a floodway.
