Sky Harbor International Airport Center Runway Reconstruction – Taxiway ECHO East

FNF was asked to prepare a bid to re-pave a section of Taxiway “E” (Echo) when the previous AC subsection failed. FNF performed worked as a subcontractor to Ames Construction, completing the project in a short period of time. Planning and execution were critical as there was a very limited timeframe within which to close the taxiway. This is the main Southwest Airlines approach and road to their hanger and maintenance facility. The work was completed ahead of schedule, and Sky Harbor was actually able to open “E” by Super Bowl Sunday evening.
