Gila Bend-Buckeye Hwy. (SR 85)

This ADOT project was located on State Route 85 in Maricopa County about 10 miles north of Gila Bend from MP 130.25 to MP 138.60. The work included construction of two new southbound roadway lanes and reconstructing the present roadway into two northbound lanes, to provide a four lane divided roadway. The work included excavation, embankment, compacted aggregate base, bituminous pavement and surface, asphalt pavement removal, asphalt pavement milling and overlay, pipe and box culvert installation and extensions, pipe sleeves, riprap, inlets, pavement marking and signs, guardrail, barbed wire fence, seeding, and native plant relocation.
